Management of Risk (M_o_R) is a general framework for managing risk in all areas of an organization - strategic, program, project and operational. It includes all activities necessary to identify and control exposure to any type of risk, positive or negative, that may affect the achievement of your organization's business objectives. The bulk of the course consists of ten sessions covering the principles, approach, processes, embedding & review and perspectives of the Management of Risk guidelines. The course also covers risk health checks, the Management of Risk maturity model and risk management specialties.

What is M_o_R® ?

Risk Management (M_o_R®) is designed to help organizations put in place an effective risk management framework that enables them to make informed decisions about the risks that affect their strategic, portfolio, programme, project, product or operational objectives. It provides practical guidance for effective risk management and shows how to link risks to opportunities and benefits. M_o_R® 4 is universally applicable and aligned with ISO standards.

M_o_R® 4 provides a modern value- and benefit-focused approach to risk management, which can be applied across all industries, sectors and regions, and to different delivery methods, including Agile.

During this Risk Management (M_o_R) course, you will improve your skills and knowledge in Risk Management - M_o_R framework.   • Candidates can use the book: Management of Risk, Guidance for Practitioners (the Management of Risk 'guide'), along with: ABC Guide Part A Example Techniques guidance document. No materials may be used other than the question booklet, scenario booklet, answer booklet and the two manuals.

Pre-requisites

No prior knowledge is necessary but an awareness of programme and/or project management would be an advantage. In order to sit the Practitioner exam you must have passed the Foundation exam.
