Exam Details

  • Name: PMI-CAPM Exam
  • Exam languages: English, Spanish, Arabic, Italian, French, Portuguese (Brazilian), German, Japanese
  • Format: multiple choice, drag-and-drop, animations/cartoons and hot spot questions
  • Delivery: Online proctored exam, closed book, no outside help, timed
  • Access: Candidates can access the exam through their account at Pearson VUE Testing Centres.
  • Duration: 180 minutes; One additional break for a total of two 10-minute breaks for computer-based exams.
  • Number of questions: 150
  • Passing score: To view your exam results immediately after taking the exam, you can do so from your Pearson Vue Dashboard by clicking on "View Score Reports". PMI does not publish passing scores for any of its CAPM certifications. Only PASS or FAIL is given
  • Cost of the exam: The first exam attempt is included as part of the course registration fee. You are granted a 1-year eligibility period to pass the exam. During this period, you may take the exam up to three times, as not everyone passes the exam on the first attempt.
  • After passing the exam, you will receive your badge and certification.
  • The CAPM certification is valid for three years and can be renewed when it expires.
