To ensure your success in PMP Exam Preparation course, you should have experience with basic project management concepts and have some working experience with project management.
To be able to take part in the PMP exam, you must have the following prerequisites:
- All project management experience must have been gained within the last eight consecutive years prior to submitting your application.
- Secondary education (high school, diploma or the global equivalent).
- At least five years / 60 months of unique, non-overlapping professional project management experience during which at least 7,500 hours were spent leading and managing the project.
- 35 hours of project management training OR CAPM certification

- Four-year degree
- At least three years/36 months of unique, non-overlapping professional project management experience during which at least 4,500 hours have been spent leading and directing the project
- 35 hours of project management training OR CAPM certification
- To lead and manage the project as identified with the tasks, knowledge and skills specific to the project management Professional Examination Content Outline.
- You should have experience in all five process groups throughout your project management experience submitted on the application. However, on a single project, you do not need to have experience in all five process groups.
